Children’s Health Fund
A Good Idea
Description
The Children’s Health Fund (CHF) develops and supports a National Network of 23 pediatric programs and two affiliates in 16 states and the District of Columbia. The programs are located in some of the nation’s most disadvantaged urban and rural communities, and serve medically underserved children. The Fund utilizes an enhanced medical home model, which integrates intensive primary care, mental health and oral health services through the use of mobile clinics, school-based clinics and telehealth. In addition, the Fund educates the public about the healthcare needs and access barriers experienced by disadvantaged children.
CHF is supported by contributions from foundations, corporations, and individuals, along with revenue from special events and government grants.
